Voices from Our Community: What KIDZ means to me
As a committed volunteer and partner to KIDH, what KIDH means to me is community. Community in a sense of even when we don’t have the funding and resources like other nonprofit organizations, our CEO and Founder, Lafleur Brown always finds a way to make it happen. As a team, we work together with individuals who are like minded and also want to feel like they are making an impact. The diligent effort to give back to the very communities that raised, shaped, and molded us, is only a fraction of the reason why KIDH offers support to those who need it most. I am honored and proud to be apart of KIDH, as I am committed to the mission and to the many communities that we serve.

GROWTH

Our Program
Our programs are designed to enhance personal growth by supporting youth and families with physical, mental and environmental well-being. As well as providing an array of resources designed to foster personal and creative development, a sense of community and opportunities to help proper transition into adulthood.
Educate.
Motivate.
Elevate.

Overall Goal
KIDH will encourage independence to make youth feel more self-sufficient and confident within a safe and secure environment. KIDH will assist youth in developing proper self esteem, self care and self determination. This will help youth understand they are capable of accomplishing their goals and growing into people with something to offer to society.

Inclusivity
Kidz In Da Hood knows that our strength lies not only in the words we stand by, but most importantly through the actions of our initiatives. Our Non-Profit Organization has realized that by working together we could overcome our challenges much more efficiently, and that is why we ultimately decided to launch Kidz In Da Hood.
